National Volunteer Week
National Volunteer Week is April 23-29, 2017.
So many of us donate our time for various causes. National Volunteer Week began in 1974 as a way to recognize and celebrate the efforts of volunteers. Not only are volunteers celebrated, but there is also the effort to urge others to get out and volunteer. April was chosen to reinforce the week's official theme ("Celebrating People in Action”) by recognizing volunteers and fostering a culture of service.
